Independent Legal Consultant — Cairo, Egypt
Precise, business-minded legal counsel for companies operating in Egypt and across the region.
I advise businesses on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, arbitration, and legal due diligence — and support their growth through strategic business development. The work is rigorous, clear, and ready to act on.
I am an independent legal consultant based in Cairo, advising businesses on corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and arbitration under Egyptian law, with comparative experience across Saudi and UK jurisdictions. My practice pairs technical legal rigor with a practical, commercial sensibility: clients come to me when they need an answer they can rely on and a document they can put in front of a board, a counterparty, or a tribunal.
Before establishing my independent practice, I worked as a legal associate and business development specialist at a corporate law firm, handling corporate and arbitration matters, cross-border restructuring, and comparative legal research across Egyptian, Saudi, and UK law — while building and managing relationships with tier-one institutional and multinational clients. That blend of legal and business-development work shapes how I operate today: closely, responsively, and with the commercial outcome behind every legal question firmly in view.
I work in Arabic, English, and French, and produce legal opinions, memoranda, and advisory deliverables written to be as clear and well-presented as they are technically sound.
Thorough legal due diligence for transactions, investments, and corporate decisions — examining corporate standing, contracts, ownership, liabilities, and regulatory compliance to surface the risks that matter before a deal closes. Findings delivered as clear, structured reports you can act on.
Company formation and structuring, shareholder and partnership arrangements, governance, and the full range of corporate decision-making and housekeeping — including cross-border questions such as liability and corporate-veil doctrine in regional jurisdictions.
Support across the deal lifecycle — structuring, due diligence, transaction documents, and completion — for acquisitions, disposals, and investments involving Egyptian and cross-border parties.
Advice and support in commercial arbitration and dispute resolution, drawing on a foundation in corporate and cross-border matters to protect clients' interests when a transaction or relationship comes under strain.
Strategic business development for firms and companies entering or growing in the Egyptian and regional market — client and partner acquisition, tailored professional pitching, high-stakes relationship management, and the negotiation of collaboration and partnership agreements.
Supporting strengths: cross-border corporate restructuring, foreign direct investment, and capital-markets and share-transaction work, underpinned by comparative legal research across Egyptian, Saudi, and UK law.
A core part of what I bring is access. Over my career I have built and maintained relationships with leading institutions and multinational companies — including Deloitte, Kerry Group, the National Bank of Egypt (NBE), and Qalaa Holdings — relationships I continue to draw on. I use that network to help clients find the right partners, open doors, and reach opportunities they could not access alone.
Every opinion is built on careful research and stated reasoning — not generalities. You'll understand not just the answer, but why it holds.
Legal value is lost if it can't be understood or used. My deliverables are written for decision-makers and presented to the highest professional standard.
As an independent consultant, you work with me. No layers, no handoffs — direct access to the person doing the thinking.
A background spanning legal advisory and business development means the commercial objective stays in focus. The law serves the decision, not the other way around.
Representative matters; client details withheld for confidentiality.
Native Arabic, fluent English, and fluent French — including the drafting of formal legal opinions, documents, and correspondence in Arabic and English. Trilingual capability is a particular asset in cross-border and Gulf-facing transactions.
If you have a legal question or a matter you'd like to discuss, I'd be glad to hear from you.
